She is the most powerful Jinni of all. He is a boy from the streets. Their love will shake the world….

When Aladdin discovers Zahra’s jinni lamp, Zahra is thrust back into the world she hasn’t seen in hundreds of years- a world where magic is forbidden and Zahra’s very existence is illegal. She must disguise herself to stay alive, using ancient shape-shifting magic, until her new master has selected his three wishes.

But when the King of Jinn offers Zahra a chance to be free of her lamp forever, she seizes the opportunity- only to discover she is falling in love with Aladdin. When saving herself means betraying him, Zahra must decide once and for all: is winning her freedom worth losing her heart?

The first thing caught my attention to buy this book is when it mentioned a jinni is a girl and fall in love with human. It’s truly different from the original Aladdin’s story that we’ve heard before. In this book, there is a princess but not meant for Aladdin. This book still have Aladdin vibes like the setting of the whole story, Aladdin was a thief, his wish to be made a prince and marrying the princess but table turns and there’s a twist. Because the jinni herself had her own agenda to enter the palace. There’s also a romance between the jinni and Aladdin. It’s cute and romantic of course! Love is such a powerful element. The story are so beautiful. I loved how Zahra narrated, it describe everything. There’s a little, very little like minor disappointment at the ending. It’s good but I kinda don’t like it. Overall, it is an interesting read. That’s why I still give it 5 out of 5.
I would highly recommend this book if you are Aladdin’s fan and need different perspective story. Also, if you are big fan of fantasy fiction. This is definitely yours.
